Recent PhDs Christine Case and Brittney Knotts chosen as ACLS Leading Edge Fellows.

Congratulations to recent PhDs, Christine Case and Brittney Knotts (’22), who have both been selected as ACLS Leading Edge Fellows for 2023!

The ACLS Leading Edge Fellowship places PhDs in nonprofits throughout the United States, to demonstrate the capacity of the humanities to advance justice and equity in society.

Christine will join the Children’s Defense Fund as a Narrative Strategy Specialist, and Brittney will serve as a Program Coordinator (Youth Activation) for Vital Voices Global Partnership.

It is rare to have the opportunity to study children's literature, but Pitt has offered courses in children's literature since as early as 1933!
