Our Awards committee has decided to recognize two exceptional papers for the Children's Literature Paper Prize competition in 2020:
1st Place ($300) goes to Ella Marston for her paper, "Dread Nation's Efforts to Bridge the Gap in Children's Literature: The Proper Representation of a Minority Heroine and Implementation of Intergenerational Trauma." This paper was written for Englit 1645: Critical Approaches to Children's Literature with Dr. Courtney Weikle-Mills.
2nd Place ($150) goes to Pauline Bayotas for her paper, "Over the Rainbow: How Graphic Narratology Creates a Space for Freedom." This paper was written for Englit 1645: Critical Approaches to Children's Literature with Dr. Courtney Weikle-Mills.
